About the position

We at Perido are looking for a Controller for our client Vinnova, which is Sweden's innovation agency. Their mission is to promote sustainable growth and societal benefit by improving the conditions for innovation and financing need-driven research. Vinnova's core activities are also focused on strengthening international collaboration. Vinnova is a government agency under the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise and the national contact authority for the EU's framework program for research and development. This position is located at the agency's office in Stockholm, with the possibility to work up to 50% remotely.

Your tasks

• Ensure accurate and efficient accounting and reporting of the EU's partnership programs, primarily projects related to metals and minerals
• Close collaboration with project managers and other internal functions to follow up, report, and quality assure the finances of EU-funded initiatives
• Financial monitoring and reporting of EU projects according to applicable regulations
• Ensure that project accounting complies with both EU and state requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, controllers, and external partners
• Participate in audits and reviews from the EU Commission and national authorities
• Develop and improve internal routines related to the finances of EU projects
• Conduct training and information meetings together with other colleagues in the EU projects as needed, partly related to the system support for reporting.
• Assist with other financial tasks in the unit as needed

You are analytical and have an eye for detail, while also being able to see the big picture in projects and their financial conditions. The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, which means you need to be communicative and have good collaboration skills. You are confident in your competence and have a solution-oriented approach, allowing you to contribute to developing methods and routines related to the finances of EU projects. At the same time, you thrive in an environment where regulations and quality assurance are an important part of the work.

Qualifications (the requirements below must be met and clearly stated in the CV):

• Relevant post-secondary education in economics or equivalent experience
• At least three years of work experience as a controller in the last six years
• At least one year of experience in financial work related to EU projects
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Experience in delivering presentations
• Can start the assignment on 2026-04-13

Meritorious:

• Experience with Unit4 ERP
• At least two years of experience in financial work related to EU projects
• Good at collaborating and communicating
• Ability to start the assignment immediately after contract signing

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-12-31, with a chance for extension. Start 2026-04-13.
