Communicator at the National Historical Museums
Are you attracted by the vision of the National Historical Museums "Together we make history meaningful for more people?" Do you want to contribute to ensuring that as many people as possible have access to cultural heritage and history? Then you could be our new colleague! We are a professional and creative communication team consisting of about 15 employees.
About the temporary position:
As a communicator, you will be part of a team where you are responsible for a selection of museums' digital advertising, communication on social media, and websites.
Your work with social media includes planning, executing, and following up on campaigns in digital channels. You have experience in creating organic content for social media from start to finish. You thrive in a coaching role, where you also coordinate and support staff at the museums in publishing organic content on social media.
Your work with the museums' websites involves operationally adapting and creating content. It also includes strategically developing the websites together with the agency's web group and coaching staff at the museums in performing simpler updates. You have a user perspective in your work and are well-versed in plain language and web accessibility. Your work with the websites also includes participating in the agency's web statistics group, where you collectively follow up to optimize content. The department is running an intranet project during 2026, where you will be involved during the period of the temporary position.
You have good collaboration skills, and together with your colleagues in the communication team, you support and cover for each other in various communication efforts.
Qualifications:
- Education in communication or equivalent education from a university, college, or vocational school.
- Several years of experience as a digital communicator or marketer.
- Experience in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns on social media.
- Knowledge of web publishing tools, primarily WordPress.
- Experience in writing in plain language and well-versed in web accessibility (WCAG).
- Experience in basic image handling in Photoshop.
- Experience in adapting content for different channels and target groups.
- A strong stylistic ability in both Swedish and English.
Meritorious:
- Have been a client for an agency for digital advertising.
- Experience with SharePoint as an intranet.
- Experience in filming and subtitling videos for social media.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM.
- Experience working with communication in a larger and complex organization.
About you:
- Experience working in complex contexts, high tempo, and preferably with several different brands simultaneously. You are self-driven and structured, have good collaboration skills, and a coaching approach.
- You thrive in a role where you work across multiple channels and know how to prioritize to reach out effectively.
- A graphic and creative eye for communication.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. The position is a temporary role from February to December 2026, full-time. Start as soon as possible. The application deadline is February 10.
