Career and Study Advisor at Universitetsholmens Gymnasium

We are looking for a career and study advisor for a temporary position until January 31, 2027, at Universitetsholmens Gymnasium. Here, you will be part of a school where professional pride, quality, and the students' path into working life are at the center.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will guide and inform students, prospective students, and visitors about study and career opportunities. You will work to increase students' knowledge about themselves, their choices, and future paths. Through counseling sessions, follow-up on study plans, and coordination of the school's workplace-based learning (APL), you will create conditions for students to make thoughtful and sustainable choices.

As part of the school's student health team, you will contribute your expertise to support students in their development. You will collaborate with career and study advisors throughout the city to strengthen students' understanding of the labor market and education. Together with your colleagues, you will develop guidance and contribute to a learning and sustainable organization.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in career and study guidance (180 credits)
• Experience working with children and youth
• Good knowledge of the school's goals and governing documents
• Good digital competence
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Experience as a career and study advisor, preferably in high school, with experience working closely with the business community
• Experience working in high school or classes in middle school
• Good experience collaborating with other authorities and participating in various networks.

The position requires you to be solution-focused and adapt your working methods based on students' needs and changing circumstances. With an analytical and pedagogical approach, you see connections and help students explore their possibilities. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to the development of both individuals and the organization. Your work is characterized by a responsive and relational approach, and you plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured and efficient manner. You value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others.
