Are you a truly skilled Math/Science teacher? Then you might be the one we are looking for as we seek a Math/Science teacher for Oxievångsskolan.

The current role focuses on teaching as well as developing the mathematics instruction at the school with a language development and digital perspective. In close consultation with subject colleagues, you will have good conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching for which you are responsible. Your development efforts inspire your colleagues and contribute to a higher goal achievement.

You conduct, both individually and in teams, varied, creative, and enjoyable teaching for our students. You find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You plan, assess, evaluate, and develop the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work.

Here you are offered the opportunity to influence the teaching at the school while also growing in your role as a primary school teacher. As a primary school teacher, you will help drive and lead the subject team in mathematics while also leading your work team to develop pedagogy and teaching at the school.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics for grades 7-9. It is an advantage to have subject qualifications in all natural science subjects as well as technology. Furthermore, we would like you to have experience working as a primary school teacher.

Experience working with methods that make visible and increase each student's learning and how digital tools lead to accelerated learning for students is required. Competence in language-developing subject teaching is also meritorious for the position.

You have a good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive study environment and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools.

To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you are cooperative and trustworthy as a person, and you are also adaptable and open.

About the Workplace

The school is beautifully surrounded by greenery and is close to both swimming, sports, and recreational areas. Oxievångsskolan is now one of Malmö's largest primary schools with nearly 750 students. Oxievångsskolan is a K-9 school. The K-6 activities are conducted in a separate building with about 210 students. In a third building, you will find our adapted primary school with about 15 students. We have a large schoolyard with a nice outdoor environment and green areas in the vicinity. The school also has full-time employed student coordinators and a school librarian. The school invests heavily in sustainable development. We are also an NTA school and use this material in science teaching. The school invests a lot in analysis work, and as a teacher at Oxievångsskolan, you get a lot of time to develop both yourself and collegially together with your subject colleagues.
