Videdal School - a miniature Malmö!

Videdal School is located in the Husie district in the middle of a residential area within walking distance to Bulltofta recreational area and close to nice playgrounds, giving us great opportunities to be a natural part of our beautiful Malmö. We also have good communication options, inviting students from all over Malmö.

We are a K-9 school with an associated after-school program, adapted primary school, and visual impairment services where all children enrich our school. This breadth means that there is a lot of competence at Videdal School that can contribute different perspectives to meet all students, thus creating a development organization to collaboratively create the best school for each student.

We work a lot with safety, respect, and trustful relationships and have a clear focus on the quality of teaching and the after-school program.

We at Videdal School are developing the after-school program and are looking for two additional primary school teachers for the after-school program! You will belong to one of our after-school teams for grades K-6.

As a primary school teacher in the after-school program with us, you will plan and implement teaching within your subjects, plan and conduct after-school activities, often as part of schoolwork. Based on the curriculum and governing documents, we together create a safe environment in the after-school program aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and personal development while ensuring that children have a meaningful leisure time.

During the school day, you will teach one or more subjects in which you are qualified. You can also collaborate in a class, but then the same class that you are responsible for in the after-school program. The lower grades and after-school programs have access to a full-sized gymnasium, music room, home economics room, and craft rooms, all to make the after-school program and your own teaching as stimulating and creative as possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in the after-school program. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession. You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills that allow you to independently lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning and play environment.

To fit as a primary school teacher in the after-school program with us, it is important that you have ideas and visions about how children thrive, feel well, and feel safe, and can also help create that after-school environment. You are prepared to teach grades 1-3 in the subjects you are qualified in.
