About the Role and Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher in textile crafts for teaching grades 3-9.

The assignment is temporary at 50% during the autumn term of 2026 with the possibility of extension. As a textile crafts teacher at Nyvångskolan, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching in line with the intentions of the curriculum. You are eager to share your knowledge in a pedagogical manner and capture students' interest by being attentive and showing understanding for each individual student. Together with the team, you are responsible for creating a safe environment for the students. Digital resources are used as a natural part of your teaching.

We Are Looking for You

To be considered for the position, a primary school teacher's degree with certification in textile crafts is required. Through your experience teaching textile crafts, you have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply these pedagogically in your daily work. You should have digital competence to manage information, documentation, and parts of the teaching. Your teaching is perceived as safe through clear leadership where you have the ability to create a secure environment for all students. To perform the assignment well, you need to be structured, flexible, and relationship-building.

The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed by already permanently employed staff.

About the Workplace

Nyvångskolan F-9 belongs to educational area 4 in Lund Municipality and is located centrally in the scenic Dalby. The school has about 900 students, 150 employees, four after-school care departments for students in grades F-3, and an after-school club for students in grades 4-6, as well as adapted primary school grades 4-9. The school buildings are surrounded by green areas with many trees, bushes, and lawns where students have the opportunity to play and engage in sports during their breaks and scheduled movement sessions.

Student democracy has long been the school's profile, and we work extensively with student influence through various student-led councils that drive specific issues and areas of development. In the councils, students and teachers discuss issues related to the work environment, teaching, friendship, and health.
