The library is part of the operational support that is the Faculty of Medicine's joint support and service organization. We provide coordinated and needs-based support to the faculty's operations in several different areas – contributing to a well-functioning everyday life for research, education, and administration.

Workplace Description

The position is located at the Library of the Faculty of Medicine, with operations based in Lund, Malmö, and Helsingborg.

We are now looking for two driven student assistants whose tasks will take place on-site in Lund and Malmö.

Job Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you will primarily work with book shelving, book management, and shelf cleaning. However, the tasks may be expanded depending on time availability and may include service at our information desks - primarily for students and staff at the faculty.

Qualifications

The applicant must meet the following:

  • studying at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • experience working in a library
  • proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The applicant must also possess the following personal qualities: service-oriented, good collaboration skills, self-driven, and quality-conscious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Meritorious for the position is:

  • studies in Library and Information Science

Other Information

  • according to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance (HF), only those who are admitted to education at the undergraduate or graduate level can be employed as student assistants
  • the work will be performed both in Lund and Malmö
  • the position is part-time (25% of full-time) and temporary for one year
  • start date: August 17, 2026
