Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, you work to help students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their individual circumstances. Your work includes planning, teaching, assessment, as well as evaluation and development of the educational activities, in accordance with the school's governing documents.

We are a learning organization that promotes knowledge exchange, where you find yourself in an environment characterized by collegial learning and development. Together with colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching certification
• Qualification to teach Swedish as a second language at the upper secondary level
• Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Very good Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Qualification to teach other subjects
• Experience in teaching Swedish as a second language
• Experience in teaching at both basic and upper secondary levels
• Experience in teaching remotely and conducting assessments
• Experience in teaching via Google Workspace for Education
• Experience in conducting exams in digital services, such as Digiexam and/or Dugga.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the teaching role and creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt your teaching to the student's and group's circumstances and prior knowledge through a creative approach and a very good pedagogical ability.

Your working method is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks efficiently. Additionally, you contribute to good collaborations and communicate openly, clearly, and attentively with your surroundings. You also understand how students' backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations affect learning, and you create an inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed.

At Komvux, we offer education at both basic and upper secondary levels, including Swedish for immigrants, studies for students with special needs, and vocational higher education.
