Glimåkra Folk High School is now seeking a mathematics teacher for the General Course.

As a mathematics teacher, you will teach participants in the General Course, where many study to complete their compulsory or upper secondary education qualifications.

Several of our participants have neuropsychiatric diagnoses or previous negative experiences of school. Therefore, relationship-building pedagogy and the ability to meet people where they are are crucial in the work.

Teaching takes place both in classrooms and in smaller settings. An important part of the job is to support participants individually, adapt teaching, and create motivation and trust in their own abilities.

You will work closely with colleagues in the team and collaborate continuously with classroom assistants, who are an important resource in teaching and in the participants' study situation.

As a teacher with us, you will, among other things:

• Teach mathematics at the compulsory and upper secondary level within the General Course
• Plan and implement teaching based on participants' conditions
• Provide individual support and guidance to participants
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and colleagues in the team
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Participate in the school's joint pedagogical development work
• Engage in the school's social pedagogical work

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching degree with a focus on mathematics or equivalent competence (combination with other subjects is also interesting)
• Has good pedagogical skills and can adapt teaching to different needs
• Enjoys working relationally and closely with participants
• Has good collaboration skills and appreciates teamwork
• Is structured and clear in your pedagogical leadership

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in teaching at folk high schools or adult education
• Experience working with participants with neuropsychiatric conditions
• Experience of special educational or compensatory approaches
