Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a music teacher to join us at Stenkulaskolan. In your teaching role with us, you will plan your lessons, conduct them, and assess your students' acquired knowledge. The planning of your lessons may take place both individually and in collaboration with your colleagues. Your teaching is modern and creative, aiming to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. Furthermore, you will also work on ongoing development efforts. A development effort where you, together with other school staff, actively work to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Music for grades 3-9. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an asset. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools.

You have a high ability to create an accessible learning environment for all our students and good competence in low-affective responses. You need to have experience and competence to work with children with NPF. You will teach in regular classes as well as in smaller contexts with children in need of special support. It is also important that you have the competence to work with children with hearing impairments.

You have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace

Stenkulaskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 500 students. Starting in the school year 25/26, Stenkulaskolan has the opportunity to start a resource school with students in grades 1-9 where we will actively work to ensure that all students are included according to their capabilities. This means that all staff need to be open to changing their approach and teaching to create the best possible inclusive learning environment characterized by a strong belief that all students want to learn. Stenkulaskolan is also Malmö's alternative for students with hearing impairments, and these students are fully included in regular teaching groups. The above conditions allow for smaller class sizes/teaching groups at the school to create the right learning environment for each student. We work according to Simon Sinek's The Golden Circle, and the school's Why is: “We Make The World A Better Place.” Stenkulaskolan's commitment plan has focused in recent years on Accessible Learning Environment, SKUA (Language and Knowledge Developing Working Methods), and ICT as an accelerator for pedagogy. The commitments aim to create a sense of belonging for all children by ensuring that all employees further develop the skills they need to create an accessible learning environment.
