Your role with us

You will be responsible for teaching in the after-school program and combining it with teaching in the school in the subject of physical education and health. Your main task is to create quality-assured teaching in the after-school program and in the school that is engaging and inspiring, according to the curriculum goals.

You will also work based on democratic values and take into account what students want in the after-school activities. To ensure that the activities follow a coherent plan regarding planning and the needs of different students, you will collaborate with primary school teachers and preschool teachers. Together with your colleagues, you will also be responsible for leading outdoor activities and recess activities.

Your relationships with the students are characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, a trusting approach, and positive expectations. You dare to set demands on the students and are clear about the expectations that are placed. Documentation of the activities in the after-school program is also included. Furthermore, you are active in collegial learning and systematically reflect on your work both individually and together with others, linked to the goals of the activities and influences from the outside world.

Who are we looking for?

You who are applying have a teaching license with the authority to teach in the after-school program and a teaching license for grades 1-6 in the subject of physical education and health in primary school. We would like you to have experience working as a teacher in an after-school program or have experience from other educational activities.

You are well acquainted with and live up to the ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to promote democratic values, assuming that all children/students are equally valuable. Furthermore, you manage leadership in the after-school program/classroom and work with goal management, planning, and documentation.

You have the ability to inspire, create interest, and meet children at the level they are at. We would like you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and be able to help students manage conflicts that arise. The ability to choose educational tools based on individual needs is required in the work. You should be able to integrate digital technology into daily activities and as a tool in your own work. Your good communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to collaborate are required to create trusting relationships with contacts both within and outside the school. We see knowledge and interest in different cultures as a merit.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. When we want to offer you the position, you will need to present an extract from the police records for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
