Are you excited about a new and exciting assignment where your skills can make a big difference for our students?
We are now looking for a special teacher or subject teacher for grades 7-9 at Hagalidskolan in Staffanstorp Municipality. Staffanstorp Municipality will work on an attendance project funded by the European Social Fund from January 2026 to June 2028. The project aims to increase attendance among students at two of the municipality's secondary schools; Hagalidskolan in Staffanstorp and Hjärupslundskolan in Hjärup. The schools will each have a team consisting of special teachers/subject teachers and student coordinators who will work full-time closely with students, guardians, and the school's other staff to support students with poor attendance. We offer a project employment of 100%, with start date according to agreement, lasting throughout the project until June 2028.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special teacher/subject teacher, you can contribute with the competence to adapt teaching for students with different needs.
The teacher works to activate the student and create school motivation by building on the student's interests. This could be an interest in art, cooking, or sports that is used as an entry point to create a relationship with the student and to build motivation. The teacher collaborates closely with subject teachers to achieve eligibility for upper secondary school. Together with the student coordinator, an individual action plan is created for each student involved in the project. Supporting the student in teaching situations may involve individual teaching, teaching in groups, or supporting classroom teaching. Working within the attendance project provides an opportunity to help develop methods to promote attendance among students, and skills-enhancing initiatives will occur continuously. Since students' various needs will guide the work, it is required that you as a person are curious, flexible, and solution-focused. Teaching in all subjects of compulsory school may be relevant but will occur in collaboration with other subject teachers at the school. Other required competencies include the ability to work independently, structured, and to compile data for analysis and summaries.
We are looking for you who want to help develop our student-centered attendance work!
- Collaborate with students, guardians, student health, and other staff at the school
- Map students' support needs and reasons for absence
- Develop individual action plans for participating students in the project
- Support students with individual teaching, teaching in smaller groups, or whole classes.
- Work to increase school motivation and remove barriers to school attendance or learning.
- Compile data and analyze the work together with others
- Inform within the school and municipality about student-centered attendance work
- Help develop methodological support for student-centered attendance work
Interviews will be held during week 13.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Subject teacher for grades 7-9 and preferably with a special teacher's degree or other special educational competence
- The ability to meet students' different needs and adapt teaching accordingly
- Good relational competence and can collaborate well with students, guardians, school staff, and external contacts
- Good organizational ability
- Accustomed to working independently towards set goals
