Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work in a salutogenic environment with learning and the student at the center alongside driven educators? Then you are warmly welcome to help build our operations together with us at Videdalsskolan! Your main responsibilities will be to plan and implement teaching for our students. In your role, you will work in groups divided into grades 1-6 or 7-9 subject classes and subject area classes, and you will be responsible for a group of students taught in subject areas. You will strive to ensure that students receive the best possible development, both academically and socially, and actively influence and stimulate students to develop as far as possible to meet knowledge requirements.

At Videdalsskolan, you will have the opportunity for development and an exciting assignment. Together with colleagues and your immediate supervisor, you will have the chance to influence the design of the operations.

You will be led by a supervisor who focuses on the learning environment for both students and teachers and works for the inclusion of every student. It is important that our employees feel involved and operate in a learning environment. Videdalsskolan has a tradition of working with differences and functional variations, which we see as a strength in the establishment/development of adapted primary school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher for grades 4-9. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have experience working as a teacher in adapted primary school and autism groups. We prefer that you have training in AAC and Tactile Sign Language (TACK) and have experience teaching students who study in subject areas. It is also beneficial if you have worked based on CPS and have a special education degree focusing on intellectual disabilities.

You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create good conditions and a good learning environment for our students. Good computer skills and experience using IT in your teaching are a given for you. You are creative and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. You develop the operations to be both inspiring and challenging. We expect you to see each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students as well as a low-arousal approach.

As a person, you are engaged in your work and operate based on the school's values. You have good collaboration skills and create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are also resilient and handle mental stress well. You have the ability to interpret various social interactions and signals from students and work in a low-arousal manner. It is important that you find strategies to reach each student and support them in their learning and personal development. You have the ability to support students so they can achieve good results. At the same time, you act as an experienced and inspiring conversation partner in pedagogical matters for colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
