Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a primary school teacher for leisure activities at Glasbruksskolan! With us, you will become part of our dedicated and positive teams, where we work together for the best school for every student. As a primary school teacher for leisure activities, you will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessment within the leisure program. You will create a stimulating educational environment based on the curriculum and other governing documents.

Together, we work to provide a safe environment where you, in your role, promote students' development and learning. You will find strategies to reach each student and support them in both academic and personal development. Your role includes providing students with meaningful leisure time, promoting diverse contacts, strengthening social community, and developing group relationships. During the school day, you will collaborate with school staff, and teaching in one or more subjects may be part of your assignment. Together, we create an operation that meets the needs of our students and guardians in the best possible way – always with the individual in focus.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher for leisure activities. Previous experience in the profession is an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents, and you apply these in your daily work. You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can independently lead and organize your work to create a peaceful study environment and a good learning atmosphere throughout the day. Your teaching is modern and based on evidence-based research. You also have good knowledge of and experience with relevant digital tools.

About the Workplace

Glasbruksskolan is a K-6 school with 80 dedicated staff members and 550 students. The leisure program is integrated with the school. In the autumn term of 2016, Glasbruksskolan opened at Glasbrukskajen in Limhamn. The school is located by the quay at the corner of Barlastgatan and Magasinsgatan. The school's proximity to Ribersborg beach with its unique nature of sea and large green areas provides our students with great opportunities for varied learning environments.
