Professional Development:

As a primary school teacher in after-school care at Rörsjöskolan, you will receive scheduled professional development aimed at those working in our after-school care. The training is based on the needs of our students related to what you and your colleagues wish to gain increased competence in. Recently, we have received training in CPS and our team leaders are currently developing a plan for our book circle on the topic of Transitions in After-School Care. Working thematically at Rörsjöskolan means that you, together with your colleagues, will build the pedagogical work in after-school care based on our thematic annual wheel.

Planning:

We follow a common structure based on planning - implementing - analyzing. For us, Lgr 22 is an obvious framework in our teaching in after-school care. As a primary school teacher in after-school care, you will be one of our driving employees when it comes to translating theory into practice. You will have your own scheduled teaching every week during school hours and of course during our after-school time, all based on your competence. Planning sessions for the entire after-school care F-6 take place during a whole morning each week.

Supervision:

At Rörsjöskolan, there is a special educator directly linked to the after-school care operations. This means that you and your colleagues have the opportunity for regular supervision.

The Team:

The team here is central and important. It is through working together that we create a pleasant and happy workplace, where we and our students create the best school for each student. An important component for us is that we have fun at work. Together we create a drive within ourselves and with each other that moves the operations forward.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher in after-school care and who has experience being the link between the school day and after-school care operations. You are knowledgeable about the school's and after-school care's missions and can drive the operations based on the curriculum and our governing documents. We want you to have the ability to adapt teaching and activities so that students can succeed based on their conditions. You should be flexible and able to adapt when faced with new situations.

You should be a good communicator, able to handle stressful situations and see the work as an enjoyable challenge. It is important for us to view children from a full-day perspective. Of course, you are a positive person who takes responsibility for both your part and the whole of what you work with. The same applies to contact with guardians and others you will meet in your work. To fit as a primary school teacher with us, we believe you have the ability to take initiative and drive things forward. We also believe you can inspire others and are confident, both in yourself and in your professional role. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

Rörsjöskolan is a F-6 school with over 700 students in four parallel classes. The school is located in Rörsjöstaden, in central Malmö, close to both green areas and cultural activities.
