Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in science subjects and technology. At Munkhätteskolan, you will work in a team where you collectively meet the needs of the students and take joint responsibility for the teaching. You will be responsible for technology education in several grades but will also teach science. Part of the position is aimed at supporting students in the classroom to optimize their knowledge development. You belong to a team in a specific grade and have mentoring students in one of the classes, together with another colleague.
As a teacher at Munkhätteskolan, we expect you to:
- Create good relationships through curiosity and trust for students and colleagues, have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, and have a supportive and encouraging approach.
- Develop your teaching through active learning together with colleagues, where you share your experiences and support and develop everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach.
- Have a versatile teaching style with a variety of teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's conditions, with a good connection to students' experiences and curiosity, and be able to show good correlations between your teaching strategies and your students' results.
- Work with student influence in your teaching in such a way that students can develop and own their learning process and provide feedback to the student that moves them forward in their learning. All teaching should aim at each individual student's progression and results.
- Create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
- Work to develop teaching based on scientific principles and proven experience.
Qualifications
You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 7-9 in technology and science subjects. If you have previous experience working as a teacher or are also qualified in mathematics, we see that as an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have a good didactic and pedagogical ability and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.
Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have a good pedagogical ability and understanding of people's different conditions for acquiring knowledge. You have the ability to see the whole picture, view issues from a broader perspective, and see opportunities in changes. Additionally, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner.

About the Workplace
Munkhätteskolan is a K-9 school and a special school for grades 1-6 with a total of 720 students. 150 fantastic employees work with us and make Munkhätteskolan the best school for every student. We work systematically and structurally to provide the best conditions for learning. The school has a well-staffed student health team consisting of 2 counselors, 3 special educators, 2 school nurses, and career counselors. The focus of our work is on prevention and health promotion, as well as clear routines and processes in remedial actions. Student health work with us begins in the classroom. We have a well-functioning structure and work based on organization/group and individual. EHM, student health meetings, are an important forum where teams, school management, and the student health team meet to highlight challenges and plan for interventions through collaboration between different competencies and professions.
