Job Responsibilities

At Malmö Idrottsgrundskola, we are looking for two qualified teachers in either Swedish or English and French in combination. You will teach students in grades 7-9 in Swedish/English/French, educating and supporting students in their social and academic development. You challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. As a teacher at Malmö Idrottsgrundskola, you will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for students' education and development, as well as deciding on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 7-9 in Swedish or English and French. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an asset. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. You also possess good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you see collaboration and learning as pathways to development and that you thrive when you are among students, both inside and outside the classroom.

About the Workplace

Malmö Idrottsgrundskola is a unique school located in the Stadion area of Malmö. We offer promising youth the opportunity to combine their education with a focus on their sports. Currently, there are seventeen different sports represented at the school, and all students are admitted through admission tests. A total of 522 students are enrolled in six parallel classes from grades 7 to 9. All teachers at the school are qualified and experienced, and you will become part of a fantastic faculty.
