Laröd School is an engaged F–9 school in the scenic Laröd, just north of Helsingborg. Job Responsibilities
As a teacher in Home Economics, you will:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in Home Economics according to applicable governing documents.
- Create a safe and creative learning environment in the kitchen and classroom.
- Work with practical elements of cooking, food hygiene, nutrition, and meal planning.
- Teach about consumer rights, personal finance, advertising, and sustainable consumption.
- Be responsible for materials, purchases, and safe handling of kitchen environments and equipment.
- Follow up on students’ knowledge development and document results.
- Collaborate with colleagues within both subject teams and work teams to create a cohesive experience for students.
- Contribute to the school’s development work and value-based work.

Qualifications
We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Home Economics in elementary school. As a teacher with us, you are curious, solution-focused, and ready to contribute to the school’s continued development. You have a good understanding of the school’s governing documents and can translate them into practical teaching. You have knowledge in nutrition, cooking, consumer issues, and sustainable development. You are confident in creating a safe working environment in the kitchen and can handle planning and purchasing of food. As a teacher, you are structured, clear, and have the ability to lead groups in practical work, as well as a good ability to build relationships with students and colleagues. You have an inclusive approach and a willingness to adapt teaching to different students’ needs.
