Frostaskolan is located in the central parts of Hörby and is a F-9 school with a total of about 550 students, divided into two school units: a F-6 section with about 280 students and a 7-9 unit. The school is within walking distance to Lågehallarna and Lågedamsbadet, where a large part of the sports education takes place. It is also easy to access nature from the school.

At the school, we have a high level of qualifications and competence among our teachers, with the goal that all students succeed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Hörby Municipality is now strengthening the work with students' achievement in Swedish and mathematics by hiring special education teachers for our F6 schools. The initiative aims to further enhance the quality of teaching, increase equity, and ensure that more students meet the knowledge goals. The special education teachers will work closely with students and educators with both preventive and individualized interventions.

As a special education teacher with us, you will work closely with school management, teachers, and the student health team to create a safe and accessible learning environment. You will be part of a team of four special education teachers at the school, focusing on grades F-3. You will also play an important role in mentoring colleagues and contributing special educational expertise. Additionally, you will contribute your expertise to the systematic quality work.

The main responsibilities are to:

• Teach students in need of special support
• Contribute to the school's development work regarding accessible teaching and inclusive learning environments
• Collaborate with colleagues, student health, school management, guardians, and other external actors
• Help design the support students need and document this

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed teacher with a special education degree focusing on Swedish and Swedish as a second language
• 5 years of documented experience with good results in working with students in need of special support
• You have a relational approach towards students and guardians
• Good collaboration skills and can build on success factors in working with students
• Clear, structured, and solution-focused working style
• Further education in subjects and/or didactics, as well as participation in research projects, is advantageous
