JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a digitalization leader, you will lead this work at an overarching level and ensure that our digital initiatives create real value for students' knowledge development and digital competence. You will collaborate with school management, teachers, development leaders, IT functions, school librarians, and external actors to implement strategies in practice. The role includes analysis, project management, system responsibility, and competence support for educators and managers. As a digitalization leader, you are expected to be the bridge between operations, IT, and school management to ensure that technical solutions meet pedagogical needs to enhance the quality of teaching.

You are a pedagogical leader who thrives in the intersection of technology and organizational development. You have a natural ability to create trusting relationships, are innovative and inspiring, and drive your own processes from idea to implementation. You keep up with developments in digitalization and AI and can translate new knowledge into concrete improvements, always focusing on students' learning and organizational development.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Driving and coordinating digitalization and AI development within the educational operations.
  • Supporting school leaders and educators in selecting, using, and evaluating digital tools and AI support with a focus on enhancing goal fulfillment.
  • Leading projects and contributing to the development of strategies, guidelines, and action plans.
  • Translating current news and trends in digitalization and AI into concrete actions in the operations.
  • Conducting security classifications of apps and digital services, including assessments of data protection and student privacy.
  • Managing and administering Google Admin, e.g., account management, device management, and policy work.
  • Working with public procurement of digital tools, licenses, and services.
  • Managing and following up on digital tools, such as student laptops, tablets, and other digital equipment.
  • Being responsible for the budget within the digitalization area, including needs analysis, prioritization, and financial follow-up.
  • Collaborating with school librarians on media and information literacy (MIL) to strengthen students' digital competence and critical thinking skills.
  • Monitoring technology, research, and current regulations, especially regarding AI and data protection.
  • Contributing to professional development through training, mentoring, and collegial learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching certification.

  • Several years of experience working in education, for example, in preschool or primary school.
  • Very good communication skills in both spoken and written form.
  • Documented experience in digital development work at the school or municipal level.
  • Good understanding of AI and its applications in teaching, school development, and administration.
  • Experience leading projects or processes.
  • Experience working with Google Admin or similar domain administration.
  • Ability to conduct security assessments and data protection analyses of digital services.
  • Experience working with or managing digital equipment.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial follow-up.
  • Very good ability to create trusting relationships.
  • Experience driving your own processes.
  • Ability to translate news and developments in digitalization or AI into concrete and operational actions.
  • Understanding of how digitalization can contribute to students' goal fulfillment.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in:

  • Public procurement or purchasing within the public sector.
  • Analyzing and following up on results using data.
  • Training, mentoring, or driving collegial learning.

OTHER

The position will be filled subject to the necessary political decisions being made and that it does not need to be allocated for internal use.
