Östraby School is a F-6 school with a student base of 125-145 students. Östraby School is located in a pleasant village in the countryside. At the school, we have a high level of competence among our teachers, with the goal that all students will succeed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Hörby Municipality is now strengthening the work with students' achievement in Swedish and mathematics by hiring special education teachers for our F-6 schools.

The initiative at Östraby School aims to further enhance the quality of mathematics education, increase equity, and ensure that more students reach the knowledge goals. As a special education teacher in mathematics, you will work with student groups alongside educators, providing both preventive and individualized interventions for increased achievement. You will also contribute your expertise to the systematic quality work.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Teaching students in smaller groups
  • Collaborating with educators, student health services, and guardians
  • Contributing to the school's development work regarding accessible teaching and inclusive learning environments
  • Contributing to the school's systematic quality work

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a certified teacher with a special education degree focusing on mathematics.
  • Alternatively, a qualified mathematics teacher for grades 1-6 with at least 5 years of recent experience in mathematics teaching.
  • Has documented experience with good results in mathematics.
  • Has experience working with students in need of special support.
  • Is clear, structured, and has a solution-focused approach.
  • Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working together for the benefit of the students.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous to:

  • Have worked as a lead teacher in mathematics in recent years.
  • Have further education in mathematics or didactics.
