International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.


IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at compulsory school level with 48 schools and around 32,000 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.

SO Teacher 80%

International English School (IES) Hässleholm is a grade F-9 school with approximately 340 students and 40 staff members. The school is centrally located in Hässleholm with proximity to bus and train connections. The school has a bilingual focus, Swedish and English, where parts of the teaching are conducted in English by international teachers.

As one of our SO teachers is on leave, we are now looking for a certified primary school teacher for grades 4-6 with subject competence in SO. The position is a temporary contract for the remaining part of the spring term 2026. The position includes shared mentorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and develop lessons
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community

Who are you?

  • You have a teaching degree with qualifications and certification to teach Swedish and SO for grades 4-6
  • You can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching and work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • You are a team player and value collaboration within your work teams and enjoy working with people in an international school environment.
  • You take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' knowledge development.
  • You take initiative and have clear leadership in the classroom.
  • You are clear and concise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to embrace new knowledge.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect that you have a genuine interest in children and young people. The position is a temporary contract, primarily until June 2026. Salary according to agreement, collective agreement exists.
