We work in partially newly renovated premises and provide education in seven vocational programs as well as introductory programs at the upper secondary school. We are now offering a position as a teacher in the Health and Social Care program.

At Jacobsskolan, we work based on trust with the student and their learning in focus. You will be part of a team consisting of teachers in common subjects and vocational subjects, working together for the students' achievement. You will also collaborate with other vocational teachers in program teams to develop the teaching in your program.

In addition to the teaching role, you will be a mentor for students in the Health and Social Care program. In the role of mentor, you will follow the student's knowledge development and study situation.

Here you have the opportunity to be a part of developing the school's activities through our systematic quality work. Together with your team, you will work on the school's prioritized areas in the curriculum.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed vocational teacher in health and social care. You have knowledge and experience from health and social care, as well as broad basic competence and the ability to teach other courses within the Health and Social Care program. We expect you to have good knowledge of Office programs, everyday systems for student documentation, and educational platforms, and that you use ICT in education.

You are relationship-building and work from an inclusive approach with a focus on an accessible learning environment that is adapted to our students' needs and conditions. You are good at collaborating and are expected to actively participate in the program team, work team, and have close cooperation with the school's other professionals such as student health. You believe in the student's ability, and the starting point for your meetings with students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences. We expect you to have good IT skills.

As you will be part of a work team, we see it as a given that you view your colleagues as an asset and that you see collaboration as a natural part of your work. In the role of teacher, you take responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation of your teaching, anchored in the school's governing documents.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the assignment.

Since you will be working with children and young people, we ask that you provide a criminal record extract before employment.

A prerequisite for a permanent position with us at Jacobsskolan is that you are qualified and hold a teaching license. Those who are unqualified can combine work with us with qualifying education for vocational teachers.
