Ljungbyhed School is located about 12 km from Klippan's center in a scenic area with the forest and Rönneå as our closest neighbors. We are an outdoor school, which means we conduct part of our operations outdoors both during school hours and in the after-school program. We are a K-9 school with about 390 students in total and an after-school program with about 100 students. For us, enthusiasm and joy are important ingredients in learning, whether you are a student or an adult. We see a great advantage in working together, developing, and being there for each other.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a mathematics teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subject based on the established curriculum, as well as planning in collaboration with the other mathematics teachers at the school to create equity. You are responsible for assessing students' overall learning in the teaching, value-based work, and social competencies, as well as documenting the same. It is important that you follow up on students' results, analyze them, and take action to improve the results. Furthermore, you will work with other staff to create an environment that helps children become secure, creative, and curious.

You will have a special assignment as a mathematics teacher in grade 4 during the spring term of 2026 and for the new grade 4 in the autumn term of 2026. We are making this investment to provide our grade 4 students with extra support and conditions to achieve the goals in mathematics.

As part of the assignment, two mathematics teachers will be present in all mathematics lessons in both classes. The purpose is to strengthen the teaching, create more time for each student, and be able to work more flexibly based on students' needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have a Swedish teacher's license and teaching qualifications to teach students in mathematics at the middle school level. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the relevant grades and subjects, preferably with the Singapore model. It is also advantageous if you have qualifications in another subject, such as science subjects. You are engaged and flexible and can easily adapt to different situations. You can take initiative, are creative, and have clear leadership in the classroom. You can work independently but are also collaborative, both with children, parents, and colleagues. It is important that you are attentive and have high social competence. You take responsibility for your part while seeing the whole. You master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form and have the ability to communicate clearly and positively, as well as to build trust and good relationships, both internally and externally. You have leadership skills with pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate students.
