The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency is the leading, directing, and coordinating authority in civil defense. We ensure that society is prepared for crises, heightened readiness, and war.

By training emergency services personnel in all positions, we ensure the competence supply for municipal emergency services. We are currently broadening our mission with training to build civil defense. We are looking for more people who want to contribute to training personnel for municipal emergency services. Your responsibilities and tasks

As a teacher at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, you will work alongside other colleagues between our training locations, experts, and external actors. As a teacher at the agency, you are expected to have a good ability to work independently, collaborate with others, and be confident in the teaching role. Instruction is conducted in classrooms, on training fields, in digital classrooms, and through virtual simulation. You will also contribute to the agency's other training activities where we all help each other to achieve the best possible results for our students.

The subject areas we train in and work with include:

• fire
• hazardous materials/CBRN
• ammunition and mine management
• rescue leadership
• crisis preparedness and civil defense

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education for work in municipal emergency services or other education related to pedagogy or our subject areas that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in emergency services.
• Experience in the Armed Forces.
• Experience in voluntary defense organizations.
• Leadership experience, which can be acquired professionally or voluntarily, preferably with accompanying leadership training.
• Experience working with online learning.
• Driver's license with more qualifications beyond B.
• Education/work related to heavy rescue, USAR, or CBRN.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations related to municipal emergency services.
• Experience in virtual environments/simulation.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.

Your place of employment will be Revinge, and travel is required. You are expected to conduct instruction at other locations, primarily Sandö, for a few weeks. Evening and weekend work may occur to a limited extent within civil duty.

The majority of our positions involve placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. When placed in a security class, a security review with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are war-placed.

About us

The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency has many assignments within societal safety and security. One of the assignments is to conduct training for firefighters and officers for Swedish emergency services. The agency's training activities are mainly located in Revinge and Sandö, and we are approximately 240 employees within the training operations, of which just over half are based in Revinge.

The School Section for Basic Training 3 is one of four sections working with our basic training, and we are located in Revinge. Through monitoring the environment, current research, and proven experience, we develop our training and its implementation to meet future needs in the best way.
