S:t Petri School is looking for a teacher for social studies and/or history for a temporary position from April 13, 2026, to June 13, 2026. Join us and contribute to the future of Malmö residents and society!

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you work to help students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their circumstances. Your work includes planning, teaching, assessment, as well as evaluating and developing the educational activities in accordance with the school's governing documents.

We are a learning organization that promotes knowledge exchange, where you find yourself in an environment characterized by collegial learning and development. Together with colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Teaching certification
  • Eligibility to teach social studies and/or history at the upper secondary level
  • Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
  • Good insight into the school's goals and governing documents
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

  • Eligibility to teach other subjects
  • Experience teaching social studies and/or history
  • Experience in other teaching or educational work.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the teaching role and creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt teaching to the student's and group's circumstances and prior knowledge through a creative approach and a very good pedagogical ability.

Your working style is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks effectively. Additionally, you contribute to good collaborations and communicate openly, clearly, and attentively with your surroundings. You also understand how students' backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations affect learning, and you create an inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed.
