Workplace Description

At the Department of Educational Sciences, educational scientific research is conducted with a variety of focuses within both school and higher education.

The department is the central node in the network that constitutes the subject teacher education at Lund University and is responsible for teaching within the educational scientific core courses (UVK) of the subject teacher education, for the complementary pedagogical education (KPU) for future subject teachers, and for coordinating the workplace-based education (VFU).

Job Responsibilities

Teaching in independent courses with the theme of special didactics, primarily in the evenings.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

• PhD or equivalent scientific competence or other professional skills relevant to the content of the position and the tasks included in the position.
• Demonstrated pedagogical skill and
• completed higher education pedagogical training of at least five weeks or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form

Meritorious for the position is:

• experience in teaching within the area of special didactics with a focus on ADHD and ASD
• experience in pedagogical development work within the field of education.

Other

The position is a temporary appointment at 40% during the period 2026-03-01 – 2027-03-31 or by agreement.

At the Department of Educational Sciences, educational scientific research is conducted with various focuses, such as subject didactics, school and educational history, and school and educational sociology, as well as research on higher education. The Department of Educational Sciences is the central node in the extensive network that constitutes the subject teacher education at Lund University and is responsible for teaching within the educational scientific core courses (UVK), for the complementary pedagogical education (KPU) for future subject teachers, coordinating the workplace-based education (VFU), as well as study administration, academic counseling, and providing information to teacher students. The department also includes the Division for Higher Education Pedagogical Development (AHU), which conducts course activities for Lund University's teachers, higher education pedagogical development activities, and research on higher education.
