JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you an engaged special educator who wants to work closely with both students and colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment? Do you want to be a driving force in a student health team where collaboration, development, and student focus are always at the center?
As a special educator, you work to create an inclusive learning environment where all students, regardless of individual circumstances, have the opportunity to combine their studies with their athletic ambitions. You will be part of the student health team at the school but will collaborate closely with several program teams.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Participating in development groups and driving the school's development in collaboration with lead teachers
- Promoting the application of inclusive pedagogy and strategies throughout the school, as well as mentoring both teachers and student assistants in this
- Actively working to make teaching materials and assistive digital learning tools accessible
- Keeping up with current research in special education and applying insights in your work
- Working with systematic student health work, coordinating student health matters, compiling referral materials, and collaborating with student health actors. This includes collaboration with external actors, such as BUP, speech therapists, SPSM, and habilitation
- Being responsible for systematic compilation of students' attendance and risk and protective factors
- Conducting educational assessments, investigations, and establishing action plans as decided by the principal
- Coordinating transitions and receiving information about new students and ensuring that relevant information is passed on to those concerned

QUALIFICATIONS
As a special educator, it is important that you are structured and clear in your working methods and can keep several parallel tasks in focus without losing quality. You have a coaching approach and also a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, teachers, student assistants, and external actors. You enjoy collaborating with others and see the strength in good cooperation, while being passionate about every student succeeding, regardless of level or individual challenges. You keep up with current research in special education and use your insights to develop teaching and support measures in the organization. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Competence requirements
- Special educator degree
- Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
- It is an advantage if you are a trained Swedish/SVA teacher
