JOB DESCRIPTION

Hörby Municipality is now strengthening the work with students' achievement in Swedish and mathematics by hiring special education teachers for our F6 schools. This initiative aims to further enhance the quality of teaching, increase equity, and ensure that more students meet the knowledge goals. The special education teachers will work closely with students and educators with both preventive and individualized interventions.

As a special education teacher with us, you will work closely with school management, teachers, and student health teams to create a safe and accessible learning environment. You will be part of a team of two special education teachers and two special pedagogues at the school. Of course, you will contribute your expertise to the systematic quality work. As a special education teacher in Hörby Municipality, you will also be part of the municipality's overarching special pedagogical network.

The main tasks include:

• Teaching students in smaller groups based on identified needs.
• Designing pedagogical assessments and following up on individual adaptations and action plans.
• Conducting and analyzing assessment materials and tests according to the school's annual plan.
• Collaborating with teachers, student health, and guardians.
• Contributing to the school's development work regarding accessible teaching and inclusive learning environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with a special education degree focused on mathematics.
• Alternatively, a certified teacher in mathematics for grades 1-6 with at least 5 years of documented recent experience.
• Further education in the subject and/or didactics, as well as participation in research projects, is an advantage.
• Has documented experience and good results in mathematics.
• Has experience working with students in need of special support.
• Is clear, structured, and has a solution-focused approach.
• Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in an environment where we work together for the benefit of the students.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
