Welcome to the preschool in central Malmö!

Lekattens Preschool is located in a quiet courtyard near Södervärn and consists of two departments. Nearby are Pildammsparken, an art hall, and a library. The departments are designed with materials that invite creativity and provide opportunities for children to realize their thoughts and process their experiences. Lekatten has a close collaboration between the departments, and all educators know all the children.

At our preschool, we want to build trust in the future, empathy, and sustainability by strengthening everyone's ability to communicate, collaborate, and be creative. Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a team in a humble way, where everyone's competence, regardless of profession and experience, is taken seriously and encouraged. We see that you actively participate in the development of the preschools and systematic quality work and are an inspiring force with the courage to ask questions and lead the work with a burning curiosity about the children's actions.

We see that you work closely with the children and are confident in leading and inspiring, as well as communicating professionally with children, colleagues, and guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher's license. We want you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop the activities. You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for a clear leader with the children's best interests in focus, and who has a genuine interest in pedagogical development. You have good experience in pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work, and you actively work with a coaching approach towards colleagues. You are passionate about collaboration and see the strength in working together to achieve common goals. It is an advantage if you have experience with Malmö city's systems, such as Komin and Tempus.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher's license is required, according to the Education Act.
