About the Workplace
The culture is an important driving force in making Helsingborg the most attractive city. Here, an active and visible cultural policy is pursued based on cultural institutions, independent cultural practitioners, and the engagement of civil society. The administration's public activities include Helsingborg's library, Helsingborg's museum, Helsingborg's cultural school, and Helsingborg's art hall and Dunkers stages. Together, they are supported by common staff functions for communication, administration, finance, and HR. At Dunkers cultural center, Helsingborg's art hall opens, along with our newly built studios.
Job Responsibilities
In March, Helsingborg's art hall will open at Dunkers cultural center, and we are now looking for hourly employed educators to work in the exhibitions and in the new studios. The work includes holding workshops for children and young people and conducting guided tours for our adult visitors. We want you to present contemporary art to both adults and children, and you should enjoy creating and have experience in educational work. You should be flexible and able to take shifts on both weekdays and weekends with us. Working hours will include a few shifts per month. It may also include sick leave and vacation replacements.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with education in art history or a practical artistic education at the post-secondary level. You should have a great interest in contemporary art and quickly familiarize yourself with new artistic practices and techniques.
For the position, we would like you to have experience in social and/or educational work, preferably with children and young people. You should be fluent in both Swedish and English.
