Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 6–9 with qualifications in German and preferably in another subject as well. You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, as well as making decisions about any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. The focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

You will teach students in grades 6–9 in the subject of German and educate and support them in their social and academic development. Through your leadership, you provide support while also challenging students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Bäckagård School, you are an important part of the school's development work, which in the coming school year will focus on reading development and the development of the school's pedagogical model.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 6–9 in the subject of German and preferably also in another subject. Previous experience working as a teacher in middle school is an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout the school day. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work and effectively use relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and your colleagues at the school.

Bäckagård School is a F–9 school with approximately 560 students and about 75 staff members. The school is located in eastern Malmö, next to the green areas of Gyllins Garden and Husie Moss. The surrounding nature and the school's facilities offer a creative and healthy learning environment.
