Language, Reading, and Writing Developer Wanted
Do you want to help develop teaching so that all students have the best possible conditions to succeed in school? We are now looking for an engaged language, reading, and writing developer who wants to contribute to increased quality in Eslöv municipality's public primary schools.
In this role, you will work strategically and long-term at the classroom, school, and municipal level. You will support schools in the development of teaching based on scientific principles and proven experience, in close collaboration with teachers, principals, and other professionals. The work includes professional development, mapping, analysis, and support in systematic quality work.
You will also collaborate closely with school librarians as part of the municipality's investment in school libraries.
The position is new, giving you great opportunities to help shape the assignment in collaboration with schools and the administration. You will be centrally organized and placed at the Language Development Center alongside other school developers, including those in mathematics, as well as teachers in the central preparatory class, mother tongue teachers, and study counselors.
Your Assignment
You will be a key person in the work to strengthen students' language skills and will, for example:
- Support and guide teachers in language, reading, and writing development methods.
- Organize reading and writing development work that challenges and deepens educators' knowledge.
- Develop strategies and methods to promote reading and writing enthusiasm among all our students.
- Work with mapping and analysis of students' language and reading development.
- Create forums for experience exchange and development.
- Contribute to professional development and networks in the field.
- Provide relevant competence-developing research and proven experience in the area.
Your Experience
- You have a Swedish teaching license and experience teaching in primary school.
- You have documented knowledge of language, reading, and writing development.
- You are unpretentious, flexible, and confident in leading change processes and inspiring colleagues.
- You have good analytical skills, collaborative skills, and a development-oriented working approach.
- You have documented experience in development work.
- It is an advantage if you have a doctoral degree in language, reading, and writing development or other equivalent competence.
