Vikenskolan is a F-9 school with just over 640 students distributed across three stages. Vikenskolan is a newly built school with a fantastic working environment where both light and sound environments are optimized.

The school values good relationships where both students and staff should feel safe and comfortable. The sense of community at the school is an important part, where we together take responsibility for and create good conditions for each other's working environment.

Since the school year 22/23, Vikenskolan has been part of a multi-year research project from Uppsala University - IBIS, inclusive behavioral support in schools. This permeates the school's quality work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and following up on teaching in Swedish/SVA in a class in grade 6, as well as Swedish/English during the language choice period in the grade. You will also be responsible for assessment and grading related to your teaching. You will be a mentor and will belong to a work team, and together with your colleagues, you will share common tasks.

You will also teach in our study technique, which is the school's support structure for study peace, study techniques, and individual learning support.

The position will partly involve you being responsible for the daily operation of the school library in collaboration with the school's staff. You will support students in finding and borrowing suitable literature based on reading level, interest, and needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are an educated and certified teacher in Swedish/SVA, grades 4-6. You have a positive attitude and the ability to create a good working climate among both students and staff. You are confident in your leadership, and just like us, you understand that relationship building is important.
