Österslövs skola (F-3) is a smaller and well-functioning village school located about 10 minutes north of Kristianstad, with good results in both safety/well-being and goal fulfillment in subjects.

We focus on providing our students with early support measures and conduct regular screenings and follow-ups that are carefully analyzed. We have a well-functioning student health team that has made progress in our promotion and prevention work but is also constantly looking to further develop. Your Role with Us

You will teach in preschool class, and work in the after-school program is included.

You act as a bridge between preschool and primary school, having one foot in the preschool curriculum and one in the primary school curriculum. Based on both pedagogical orientations and the needs of the students, you design teaching that challenges, inspires, and stimulates students' desire to learn and creates conditions for influence.

Your work includes actively creating linguistic awareness, linking play to learning situations, and contributing to a smooth and planned transition from preschool to preschool class and primary school. Students are offered a safe environment based on mutual respect, where they have the opportunity to create and maintain good social relationships.

You are a clear educational leader who has the ability to build relationships with students, guardians, and other partners characterized by mutual respect, trustful relationships, and positive expectations. In your role, you are responsible for assessing and documenting each student's needs and contributing to collegial learning, development, and systematic reflection on both individual and collective work.

In addition to working in preschool class, you will also work some mornings and afternoons in the after-school program. To ensure continuity, collaboration between preschool class and after-school program is also included.

Who Are We Looking For?

You who apply have a preschool teacher certification or a teaching certification with authorization to teach in preschool class. It is an advantage if you also have authorization to teach grades 1-3 in Swedish and mathematics in primary school. Furthermore, you should have the ability to challenge students based on their conditions and create enthusiasm and engagement for learning and the learning environment. The work requires you to see opportunities and development needs at both the individual and group level, as well as to plan and document the activities. The ability to analyze and reflect on the learning situation and your own leadership is required, as well as the ability to promote collegial learning.

We would like to see that you have previously worked as a preschool teacher in preschool class or have worked as an educator in preschool and/or primary school. The ability to set clear boundaries, create structured lessons, and simultaneously be flexible in teaching is a prerequisite for the position. You can build trustful relationships by being communicative and receptive in contacts both within and outside the school.

The role requires you to integrate digital technology into daily operations and use it as a tool in your own work. You are well acquainted with and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers and are well-versed in the preschool and school curricula, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and have the ability to implement these in practice.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certification. When we want to offer you the position, you will need to present a criminal record extract from the police for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
