Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a special educator in language, writing, and reading development to Höjaskolan! As a special educator with us, you will plan and conduct support teaching, carry out assessments of students' needs for special support, and guide colleagues. You will also participate in the follow-up and development of the operations and provide support to the management in working with students in need of special support. In this role, you will primarily work with students in grades 1-6.
In your role at Höjaskolan, you will closely collaborate with two colleagues regarding interventions for students. You will have your own facilities for teaching students with special needs, and you will also be part of a subject group that conducts a joint investigative work with professional learning based on the challenges you see as prioritized in your subject team. You are, of course, an important part of our EHT team consisting of four special educators, two special pedagogues, a counselor, a school nurse, a career counselor, a school psychologist, and school management. Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher and has a special education degree. Previous experience working as a special educator in language, writing, and reading development is an advantage. To fit as a special educator with us, it is important that you are flexible, unpretentious, communicative, results-oriented, and skilled at building relationships. You need to have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in your daily work. It is important that you have good didactic and pedagogical skills, as well as knowledge of relevant digital tools and work based on evidence-based research.
