Workplace Description
The research group Pereira (https://www.stemcellcenter.lu.se/research-groups/pereira) is now seeking a postdoctoral researcher. The group's main scientific focus is to understand the identity of hematopoietic and immune cells and to translate this knowledge into new gene and cell therapies.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
The research assignment involves independently developing in vivo reprogramming of tumor cells to cDC1-like cells using RNA vectors, with the overarching goal of developing a finished, safe, and scalable immunotherapy solution that has the potential to enhance current immunotherapy methods. The work includes cell culture, microscopy, histology, and work with animal models.
The tasks also include data analysis, FACS, and immunohistochemistry. You are also expected to publish scientific articles in high-profile journals within the field, participate in international conferences, and develop and assist in other tasks related to the project.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- PhD in a relevant field, such as molecular biology, tumor biology, immunology, or a related area.
- Excellent ability to initiate, develop, and conduct independent research at an advanced level.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate, take initiative, and solve tasks independently.
Desirable for the position is:
- Previous research experience in similar projects.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, the applicant must have obtained a PhD, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, in a field relevant to the position (i.e., molecular biology, tumor biology, immunology, or a related area). The degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the date of the employment decision. If there are special reasons, the PhD may have been obtained earlier.

The position is a fixed-term employment for 2 years, with a start date of 2026-06-01 or by agreement.
