The Education Administration is responsible for preschools, primary schools, after-school care, high schools, adult education, and child and student health. About 1100 employees work here to create a safe and developing school and childcare.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a study counselor at Adult Education Ystad, you will work with guidance contacts with prospective and current students in our in-house programs.

Your duties include study counseling, providing information to individuals and groups, as well as individual study planning and the establishment of individual study plans. Additionally, tasks such as working with educational information, following up on individual study plans, eligibility assessments, and creating priority lists and other work related to admissions are included.

The work also involves collaboration with various authorities, municipalities, and other educational providers.

Furthermore, you will be part of a Resource Team consisting of a counselor, a special educator, and a career counselor. As part of the Resource Team, you will participate in regular student conferences and be involved in student follow-ups, as well as work according to the Resource Team's routines.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained study and career counselor. You are accustomed to working with digital tools and various operational systems and can easily familiarize yourself with new digital systems and resources. We currently use Edlevo.

You have high social competence and find it easy to collaborate and communicate with others. You have a strong commitment to your work area and are driven, self-sufficient, and have an eye for what needs to be done. It is important that you can communicate clearly and appropriately in different situations.

You are self-sufficient, structured, have good prioritization skills, and a commitment to carrying out work with quality. You are also relationship-building and attentive, with a positive attitude that shows in your interactions with people.

You enjoy working in a team and are not afraid to take on common tasks that the team is responsible for when needed. Once you have settled into the job, we expect you to be proactive in identifying areas for development and taking the initiative for changes and improvements, as well as daring to challenge development based on emerging needs and requirements.
