About the workplace

We organize the educational activities so that children are given time, space, and materials adapted to their age, maturity, and interests. Our core operations are based on children learning across subjects and being given opportunities to express themselves in many ways. Multilingual work and aesthetic learning processes therefore play a significant role in the preschool.

For this, we are now recruiting a preschool teacher to contribute to inspiring teaching at our preschool.

Spinneriet Preschool is part of a principal area with four preschools and has a strong management organization consisting of three lead preschool teachers, three deputy principals, and one principal.

Spinneriet Preschool has four departments and is located on the ground floor near the Mobilia shopping center. Here is Malmö's only Finnish-speaking department. The preschool has modern, bright facilities and its own rooftop garden that provides opportunities for both play and outdoor learning.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions.

All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher license. We would like you to contribute with commitment, creativity, and a drive to develop the activities. You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You should be able to translate the content of the preschool curriculum into your work as a preschool teacher. You are passionate about ensuring that children have influence and participation in their education and understand how you, together with your team, should develop strategies for children to work on projects. We believe that your ability to lead, inspire, and be a clear role model is significant.

You will play a key role in creating a stimulating and developing environment for the youngest children in the preschool. Through care, reflection, and teaching, you contribute to creating a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Your presence and collaborative approach are crucial for you to understand children's knowledge and learning by being responsive to children's multilingualism.

You recognize the importance of the introduction to preschool and organizing education, the importance of pedagogical documentation and reflection, and understand children's communication.

We value differences and recognize how various backgrounds and cultures can enrich our preschool. We are looking for someone who has the ability to analyze and reflect on our goals and results and who dares to ask the difficult questions to ensure high quality in everything we do.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher license is required, according to the Education Act.
