About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The position involves teaching adult students at Komvux Lund and Campus Vipan at both basic and upper secondary levels, in both standalone courses and vocational training.

You may teach in various study formats: in-person and flexible teaching. Flexible teaching means that students study independently but come in for guidance and mandatory components.

You are expected to actively participate in the development of our educational programs. As a teacher at Komvux Lund, you will be part of a team and perform the tasks associated with the profession. You will join the care and welfare team as well as the children and leisure team.

We are looking for you

You have a teaching license in Swedish as a second language at the upper secondary level and experience teaching the subject. We also prefer that you have qualifications in Swedish as a second language at the basic level.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and enjoy developing your teaching. Experience in pedagogical work within adult education is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal qualities, and as a person, you are unpretentious, development-oriented, attentive, and clear in your communication with students and colleagues. You have a relational approach to students and are good at working both independently and in teams. A solution-focused mindset is a natural part of your daily work. You have the skills to use common digital functions that are important in, and related to, teaching.

About the Workplace

Komvux in Lund offers education in SFI, adapted education, apprenticeship training, basic and upper secondary courses, and vocational training. We have teaching facilities at Gastelyckan in Lund and at Campus Vipan. We work to develop our school based on the needs of our students. At Komvux Lund, we have a Learning Center, Kompassen, where students are offered support to succeed in their studies. We are Erasmus accredited, and every year staff have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing, courses, and collaborations with adult education institutions in Europe. The Erasmus work also means that we regularly host colleagues from other countries.

The Education Administration is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, international primary school, and mother tongue activities, with over 1,200 employees.
