About the Workplace

Järavallens Preschool is a beautiful old villa located centrally in Limhamn. We have a lovely yard with old fruit trees and lush bushes. The preschool consists of two departments, with younger children on the first floor and older children on the upper floor. We are fortunate to be situated in a scenic area close to the sea, beach, and playgrounds. The preschool has well-thought-out educational environments, and each department offers four different basic environments: studio, role play, construction, and language. The environments are designed based on the children's interests. In our yard, we follow the seasons, planting and harvesting together. We have a reception kitchen where we receive well-prepared meals from RF Bergs Preschool every day.

We consciously work towards a healthy workplace and a good and healthy working environment. This is done together with a present and engaged management team consisting of the head preschool teacher, deputy principal, and principal. In this shared leadership, management is available for support and development of the educational work. In addition, there is access to special educators and psychologists.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a sanctuary where the preschool is safe, fun, and educational. You lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. We expect you, as a preschool teacher, to participate and actively contribute to the systematic quality work. All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher qualification. You are a confident, brave, and experienced preschool teacher who stands firm in your role. You have the ability to see the whole picture of the operation and always put the children's needs at the center. If you have good experience in driving processes related to all children's rights to support, that is a significant asset.

As a preschool teacher with us, you are a clear leader who creates a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions. You dare to take initiative, make decisions, and stand up for children's rights, while also being attentive, reflective, and collaborative.

You have a professional approach and contribute stability, engagement, and joy to the team. You have a good ability to structure and plan the educational activities. With the children's best interests as a starting point, you see the connection between care, development, and learning and work long-term for a high-quality operation. You care about and actively work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous to have extensive experience in practical work as a preschool teacher. It is also beneficial if you have training as a child rights strategist.

To be permanently employed as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher qualification is required, according to the Education Act.
