International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

Teacher of Swedish for grades 7-9 (temporary position for the school year 26/27)

International English School (IES) Lund is a grades 4-9 school with approximately 700 students and 80 staff members. IES Lund is a school where teachers can focus on teaching, students are given the opportunity to learn, and everyone enjoys coming to school every day. The school has an international focus and instruction is conducted in both English and Swedish. The school strives to prioritize learning and knowledge. Students learn to take personal responsibility for their own development and work environment and to respect their classmates, teachers, and themselves.

We are now looking for a qualified teacher for grades 7-9 with subject competence in Swedish.

The position includes shared mentorship. You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it fun, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries and to give each student the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct lessons
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's community

Who are you?

  • You have a teaching degree with qualifications and certification to teach Swedish in grades 7-9
  • Experience working in schools is an advantage
  • You are passionate about development and a collegial working approach

The position is a temporary position (100%) for the school year 26/27, starting in August 2026. Salary according to agreement, collective agreement exists.
