Glimåkra Folk High School is looking for dedicated assistants for our summer courses for adults with intellectual disabilities, summer 2026.
The summer courses at Glimåkra Folk High School have been organized for over 50 years and are characterized by community, joy, safety, and development.
As an assistant, you are a key person in the participants' daily lives – both during scheduled activities and in their free time.
As an assistant, you will:
Support participants in everyday situations and activities
Participate in teaching, leisure activities, and community
Create safety, structure, and joy in the participants' daily lives
Work both day, evening, and weekend shifts
We are looking for someone who:
Is secure, responsible, and attentive
Has good collaboration skills and a warm demeanor
Preferably has experience working with people with disabilities (desirable but not required)
Is at least 18 years old
A driver's license is a plus.
As an assistant, you will work on a schedule from June 22 to July 17. The first course runs from June 22 to July 3, and the second course from July 6 to 17.
On June 16-17, all assistants will work during two training days.
The positions are scheduled, and the exact working hours may vary, but the positions are close to full-time jobs.
