Your role with us

You will work primarily with the upper grades to support students in their choices of future studies and careers, as well as to strengthen their knowledge of the education system and working life. The work is both individual, pedagogical, and guiding. You will collaborate with teachers in various ways to create a cohesive and equitable study and career guidance for the students. The collaboration aims to connect the school's teaching to future studies, professions, and working life, as well as to provide students with better grounds for their choices.

You will also be responsible for the students' internships in grade 8 and collaborate with mentors regarding high school choices in grade 9. You will develop a career guidance plan for the school that includes all grades. You will be part of our attendance team where your role as a career counselor will be important for leading motivating conversations with the students.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a degree in study and career guidance (180 credits) and we would prefer that you have experience working as a study counselor.

You have the ability to guide students individually and feel comfortable speaking in front of groups. The work requires strong communication skills - both oral and written. Furthermore, you have good administrative skills and solid IT knowledge. Since the position involves a lot of contact both internally with students and colleagues, as well as externally with guardians, good collaboration skills are essential.
