Engaged Preschool Assistant Wanted for Lambohov 2 Preschools

We are now looking for a new colleague for Lambohov 2 preschools, where we work exploratively with the children's curiosity at the center. Your Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you work together with the team to ensure that the preschool's activities stimulate development and curiosity for the children.

The team plans the activities and teaching based on the curriculum, where you as a preschool assistant are involved in the work. You then carry out the teaching in the children's group so that care, development, and learning form a whole. You adapt the activities based on the children's interests, experiences, and needs. In your work, you draw from both routines and the spontaneous learning that occurs and make it a part of the teaching. In your role as a preschool assistant, it is also included to continuously converse with guardians about the child's well-being, development, and learning, as well as to conduct development talks.

As a preschool assistant, you contribute to fulfilling the preschool's mission. You have knowledge of current governing documents, such as the curriculum, and work according to the norms and values included in the preschool's curriculum.

Your Workplace

The Lambohov 2 preschool area consists of 6 preschools located between Lambohov, Vallastaden, and Skeda Udde.

The current placement of the position is at Storskiftesgatan 50 in southern Lambohov. We are a two-unit preschool that works with an exploratory approach for children aged 1–5 years. In this role, you will primarily work with the younger children. Today, the team consists of three preschool teachers and two preschool assistants. Due to an increased number of children in the spring, we now need to temporarily strengthen our staff with an additional colleague at 50% until June 30, 2026.

Based on the children's interests, each department creates projects characterized by playful teaching contexts.

Who You Are

It is a requirement that you have a preschool assistant education from adult education or have completed the Child and Leisure Program in high school. It is also a requirement that you have experience working with children in curriculum-driven activities as an employee, through internships, or voluntarily.

Furthermore, it is a requirement that you have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lpfö18), can organize and carry out the work so that the child receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

In your role as a preschool assistant, you create good relationships and collaborate well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other contacts that occur in your professional role. You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a responsive way in teaching and the everyday life of the preschool. You lead the work with the children through motivation, engagement, and participation. The role also means that you, together with your colleagues, will work with current goals and quality standards for the preschool.
