At the Competence Supply Office, we work to create conditions for people to live independent lives. Regardless of which part of the operation we work within, we have a common mission: to give residents the opportunity to grow and develop, where the path to self-sufficiency should be sustainable over time.

We are about 350 employees who together are responsible for financial assistance, municipal labor market measures, community orientation, the settlement law, and adult education.

We are now looking for social workers for financial assistance who want to be part of our ongoing work to develop the operations and strengthen the social work within financial assistance.

Your Responsibilities

As a social worker with us, you will be part of an engaged team where we work together to support people in difficult life situations. Your work makes a difference – you have the opportunity to truly impact people's lives.

In this role, you will investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act. At the same time, you will work in a motivating and guiding manner to support individuals in their journey towards self-sufficiency.

You will collaborate with other authorities and actors such as the social office, the Public Employment Service, educational providers, and the region – all to create the best conditions for our clients.

We work in smaller teams where we support each other, share experiences, and find solutions together. We offer a good introduction, excellent opportunities for professional development, and external supervision – so that you feel secure and develop in your role.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in behavioral science, social science, social work, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. We would also like you to have experience in social work or labor market issues.

You have a natural ability to meet people in various life situations – to listen, guide, and motivate change. You plan and follow up together with clients and partners to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency.

As a person, you are accommodating, engaged, and solution-oriented. You thrive in collaboration with others, contribute positive energy, and see change as an opportunity. At the same time, you have structure in your working method and can prioritize when necessary.
