Preschool Assistant Wanted at Tuppen Preschool

Do you believe in children's abilities and competencies? Are you an engaged preschool assistant who shares our vision? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Who are we?

Tuppen is a preschool with five departments located in the Nordantill district of Norrköping, adjacent to several parks, the river, museums, and libraries.

Tuppen Preschool is a multicultural preschool that is part of a unit of four preschools. The best interests of the children are always our focus, and our education is characterized by development, joy, engagement, and playfulness.

Our teaching is based on the goals of the curriculum and aims for deeper knowledge for each individual child.

It is important for us that the entire day is permeated by both spontaneous and planned teaching. Our teaching activities take place indoors and outdoors in accessible learning environments.

We are inspired by an investigative approach and have faith in children's abilities and competencies. We achieve this by listening, documenting, and reflecting on their learning together with the children.

Here, we follow the children's progression and lay the foundation for lifelong learning where care, development, and learning form a whole.

We are now looking for a preschool assistant for a temporary position!

The temporary position is in a department for older children aged 2-6 years.

Your Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant with us, you are an important part of a team where you together participate in and implement the educational training based on governing documents towards set goals.

You document, follow up, evaluate, and ensure that all children have equal influence and space in the preschool.

You design the education according to the children's conditions and needs and are involved in creating pedagogical learning environments indoors/outdoors.

Using the curriculum as a basis, you choose methods, content, and responses based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. Your work is characterized by a clear respect for the individual and a good relationship with children, guardians, and colleagues.

We utilize collegial collaboration between our units. Development together is an important piece of the puzzle in our organization.

A requirement is that you can work during all of the preschool's opening hours. Your schedule may include both openings and closings of the preschool.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained preschool assistant with experience working in a preschool. You are well acquainted with the preschool's curriculum and governing documents.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have good skills in leading the children's group in activities.

You also have knowledge in being responsible for introductory conversations, development talks, and conveying information to guardians at various meetings.

As a person, you have pedagogical insight where you adapt teaching and responses based on the individual and the situation. You are flexible and have the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations.

You have cross-cultural awareness and understanding of how culture and background affect attitudes and behaviors.

As a person, you are secure and stable with good self-awareness. You have a responsive and positive manner that makes it easy for you to build trusting relationships with both children and guardians as well as colleagues.

Since you are expected to document and communicate in writing to guardians and external actors, we see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing.
