Your Responsibilities
Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work according to the curriculum. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher for grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others present in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection in both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professionals.
Your Workplace
Berzeliusskolan is a modern, newly renovated, and centrally located school in Linköping where knowledge, community, and development are in focus. Here, approximately 750 students and around 100 engaged staff from grades 7-9 and high school meet. With us, you become part of a large faculty where collaboration is close and supportive.
The teachers work closely together, and collaboration is a central part of our culture. Teaching is planned and developed in working groups where you regularly meet colleagues to exchange experiences, create consensus, and drive teaching development. In addition to the weekly working group meetings, subject teams also gather several times a year for joint professional development and to continue developing teaching.
We offer a safe start with clear introduction, mentor support, and established work processes. With us, there is a complete student health service with counselors, school nurses, psychologists, student coaches, special teachers, and special educators on site, allowing you to truly focus on teaching and leadership in the classroom.

Who We Are Looking For
Primarily, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with the authority to teach home economics in grades 7-9. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 7-9 in home economics. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in home economics for grades 7-9.
It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.
In your role as a teacher for grades 7-9, you have a good understanding of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary for you to organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community relevant to your professional role.
