Substitute Teacher in After-School Care
Do you have a strong commitment to students' learning during school hours and after-school care? Do you have experience working with structure in after-school programs? Then you could be our new colleague!
Who are we?
Skarphagsskolan is a municipal primary school and adapted primary school offering education for grades F-6. We also have an after-school program with three departments.
The adapted primary school has 25 students divided into four classes. The school has bright facilities and is located in a quiet and pleasant area in the southwestern part of Norrköping.
With the guiding principles of love, order, and success, we work to provide all our students with a high-quality education and a good start in life.
We are now looking for an engaged substitute teacher in after-school care who, like us, is passionate about children's learning!
Your responsibilities
As a teacher in after-school care, you will plan, lead, and evaluate the educational work in the after-school program together with your colleagues.
You will create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful environment where students' development and learning are at the center. By taking advantage of students' interests, you contribute to developing their social, creative, and communicative skills.
During school hours, you will work closely and daily with classroom teachers, preschool teachers, and student resources. Together, you will plan for a holistic approach to students' school day where teaching, care, and after-school activities complement each other. You will provide support for individual students at both the individual and group levels. Support includes learning situations as well as assistance in social interactions.
During after-school hours, you will plan and conduct various activities with the students based on their needs.
Who are you?
We are looking for a licensed teacher in after-school care. We prefer that you have experience in pedagogical work and can adapt your approach, methods, and techniques based on the student's needs.
Furthermore, you are a reliable person who takes responsibility for your tasks and works according to agreed methods. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents.
As a person, you are a secure and attentive leader with the ability to build trusting relationships and provide positive support to develop our students. You can also be clear and set boundaries when necessary.
You communicate clearly and can adapt your communication based on the recipient.
In collaboration with colleagues, you contribute with a positive attitude where you share knowledge and information to promote the team. You contribute the perspective of "the whole child, the whole day" in the collegial work, where you start from the student's perspective.
Since we work with children, we see that you thrive in an environment where the pace varies throughout the workday and that you can maintain calm and a positive attitude even in stressful situations. You see opportunities rather than obstacles.
You are flexible and can adapt to the current situation, group, and the students' various needs and assets.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Welcome with your application!
