Tallboda/Ekängen Preschools are hiring preschool teachers

Tallboda/Ekängen preschools offer a unique and nature-oriented environment where play and learning take place outdoors in our beautiful yards and nearby nature. Our preschools continuously welcome new children and therefore have an increased need for engaged and competent staff. We are looking for two new preschool teachers to join our team. Your responsibilities

Your starting point as a preschool teacher is to have the overall pedagogical responsibility in the preschool. You are expected to lead and distribute the pedagogical work within the team while contributing to creating collegial learning. The team will work together to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the content of the activities based on the preschool's curriculum and other governing documents.

As a preschool teacher, you promote each child's development and learning based on their interests, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments.

In your role, there will be close collaboration with colleagues and guardians, as well as potential contacts with other actors regarding the child.

Your workplace

The Tallboda/Ekängen area consists of seven preschools: Gränsliden 8, Tomatvägen 14, Passadvindsvägen 2, Grönhögsvägen 58-60, Fönvindsvägen 12, Hästhagsvägen 8, and Linsvägen 5.

At all our preschools, we work based on a project-oriented approach where projects are driven by the children's interests and the preschool's governing documents. Here, the educators are present, and we explore and learn together with the children. The focus is on the learning process and joyful learning, not just on the results. In everyday life, there is a strong emphasis on language and mathematics development. Furthermore, we systematically work with reception, communication, and feedback to promote a good working environment for both children and staff.

As an employee with us, you become part of a larger context. We have joint staff meetings where staff from several preschools meet for collaboration and exchange of experiences. Within the Ekängen/Tallboda Preschools, there is access to a lead preschool teacher, special educator, and quality coordinator who support us in our work. The area's deputy principals are also present in the operations once a week to provide support where needed.

To ensure that all children can become their best selves, we work in smaller groups. The goal is for all children in our preschools to experience an environment that is fun, safe, and educational. We have large yards that invite both play and learning. Additionally, the area is geographically located close to forests and water, providing rich opportunities for nature experiences and exploration.

Who we are looking for

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a preschool teacher license. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a degree from a preschool teacher education program. Alternatively, you may be at the end of your preschool teacher education.

It is a requirement that you have experience working with children in a curriculum-driven preschool through practice, as an employee, or voluntarily. It is an advantage if you have worked at least one year in a curriculum-driven preschool where you have worked with planning and teaching based on the curriculum.

You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is necessary so that you can organize and carry out the work in accordance with the curriculum (Lpfö18) to support the child's language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you create good relationships and collaborate well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that are relevant to your profession. You have a good understanding of people's differences and respond to them in a sensitive manner in teaching and everyday preschool life. You lead the work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation. The role also involves working with applicable goals and quality standards for the preschool together with your colleagues.
